Gateway to Brazil’s Discovery Coast, Porto Seguro marks the site where the Portuguese arrived in 1500. The city’s historic centre preserves traces of the beginning of the Brazilian colonial period. Its vibrant gastronomic scene allows you to taste local delicacies in eateries and the wide range of charming inns and luxurious resorts. The city is a short distance from Porto Seguro International Airport, with direct flights from Brazilian hubs including Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and São Paulo.
Our three properties are located in two districts of the Porto Seguro area – Caraíva and Trancoso.
A true slice of paradise, Caraíva is situated around 50km south of Porto Seguro. In a rustic setting, Caraíva takes you back to the times prior to mass tourism – making its fabulous beaches and laid-back atmosphere even more appealing.
Perched high on a hill, the small village of Trancoso is one of the most sought-after locations on the Bahia coast. It is an ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy beaches with fine sand and warm waters.
Founded in 1586 by Jesuits, the city has considerable attractions in its own right. It is also only ten minutes from the Praia dos Coqueiros, with reefs forming natural water pools at low tide that are perfect for diving. In the unlikely event that you tire of relaxing on the 16km of deserted beaches, nearby facilities allow you to rent a kayak or go horse riding.
